What do you mean I have to “accommodate” an injured employee?

Employees returning from any job-protected leave of absence might be entitled to additional time off work as a reasonable accommodation, as well as other accommodations such as reduced work hours, job duty modifications or reassignment to another open position. The employer must engage the employee in an “interactive process” to explore possible reasonable accommodations.

Jeanne Flaherty, Employer’s Legal Advisor, Inc. and Jay Sherman, HROptimizers will discuss the challenges employers face and how to comply with the California Regulations.
